and what is brewing for me

hi there!

wishing you all a slow walk towards the longest day, the biggest yang, the burst of life and energy that this vital time can bring.

i have committed to cattails comix as a life practice, and to do so, i must take breaks, honor my other callings, and to continue to be in a deep practice with all that i cultivate.

this will be a long hiatus, perhaps the entirety of the summer, before i return to my weekly comic strip. i have been writing almost nonstop! what has come to light is a very personal piece that i will be sharing with 60+ people today!

i have been busy building, working on different modalities to express the movements of change, dreaming up the possibilities of alternative schooling, and embracing my dreams of being a performer, but in the ways that I have always known were possible but didn’t believe existed.

in this time I have been turning inward, closing myself from the world that i have once leapt into, open and receptive towards the world to sponge and gather all i can. In this chapter of my life, I’ve switched my flow and instead I have been deep inside, gathering my own energy, with diligence, investing that time into my projects with a newfound faith in my path and my dignity as an artist.

i hope that when i return, I will have something to show you all, art that expresses layers of truth that reflect the contemplative time i’ve taken to study and stew in the dynamics of change.
